I was happy to be able to participate in the Anita Street Market soft opening yesterday.
As my June 3rd (2023) post stated, “In my opinion, these (local, family-owned and historical places, like Anita Street Market) are the most essential and important restaurants in Tucson. They are the backbone of our city—the glue that has kept everything together for so long.
During the 50 minutes I spent there ordering tortillas and a T-shirt, I saw a steady flow of caring patrons coming to support Anita Street Market and owner Gracie Soto.
If you couldn’t make it yesterday, please consider making a small (or large!) donation to their GoFundMe campaign. That campaign web address can be challenging to locate, so I’ll put it here, as well as my Insta Stories.

If each of my 1086 followers contributed $5, that would provide well over $5000 and help Anita Street reach over 50% of what is needed in their campaign!
And yes, again, I ate a few of the fresh, warm tortillas — sans anything, on the way home in the car!
