I finally made it to Borderlands Brewing's (@borderlandsbrewing) Downtown Taproom. And what a great place to see live music!
They have been located Downtown for the last 12 years and boast a large outdoor patio and a Social Club where customers can enjoy the use of large TVs and play a game of pool. The indoor taproom is spacious and can accommodate even the largest of gatherings, as noted by the weekly calendar hanging on the wall.
I specifically went to see my favorite local band, composed of my two friends, Ginette and Dan. They are called Roth D'luz (@roth_dlux) and are a cross between Natalie Merchant, Swing Out Sister, and Everything but the Girl. I'm a big fan-girl!
While relaxing to the music, other friends and I enjoyed a beautiful night enhanced with exceptional margaritas! I had a couple of the Mango Margarites (slushie version) and could barely taste the alcohol, but it was so delicious and refreshing.
We tried some of the food from the connected Borderlands food truck, and the taste didn't impress as much as the margaritas, but it did provide sustenance for a fantastic night.
I definitely recommend Borderlands and my new favorite Tucson margaritas! But next time, I'll try the tacos.
