During my sophomore year in high school, I moved from Tucson and Amphi HS to Mission Viejo, California. My high school there was just down the street from an In-N-Out Burger. Since then, my favorite burger was a #2 or Cheeseburger "animal-style" (mustard fried into each patty, pickles, chopped grilled onions, and an extra helping of the famous sauce). Practically every lunch of my Cali high school career was spent at that In-N-Out -- not to mention the many, many meals since!
So, I love a good burger.
But there are many classes of burgers. There are the ubiquitous, gross fast-food burgers (Mickey D's, Wendy's, Burger King, Whata(gross)burger, etc.). Then you have the Steakhouse Burgers, The Urban Burgers (my favorite here is @hawkinshob), Speciality Burgers, and the Tier Two Burgers (a step above the fast food tier for various reasons) like 5 Guys and In-N-Out.
Since Tucson has In-N-Out, I, of course, frequent there. But with this Tucson food account here, I knew I needed to explore a bit. I have tried several that fall into the 'if you don't have anything nice to say about something, don't say anything' category.
Then I tried Graze Premium Burgers @grazeburgers.
I would classify Graze as a Tier Two Burger, and, IMHO, right on the top!
From the perfectly soft with just a touch of crunch, grilled brioche bun through the premium Niman Ranch (a farm/ranch network with a commitment to raising livestock with humane and sustainable methods) all-natural antibiotic/hormone-free beef and the lettuce, red onion, tomato, and graze sauce-- simply stated -- a near perfect burger.
I went with my Aunt and mom, and I liked it so much that I returned later in the week to ensure my first burger wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. The second was just as good as the first.
What I love about the Graze burger is that it is simply good -- no pretentiousness, no gimmick, nothing fancy, just good ingredients cooked right.
So, if you, like me, want a great, consistent burger without the hype or self-aggrandizing, I'm confident you'll love Graze.
