Recently I went out for breakfast with my mom and aunt to one of my aunt's favorite breakfast spots, @prepandpastry.
Over the pandemic, I tried a number of my own versions of poutines, so I was excited to try their version of a breakfast poutine, especially when I saw some the unique ingredients.
The Prep & Pastry Breakfast Poutine includes pork belly, duck fat sausage gravy, French fries, two eggs over easy, and cheese curds.
And, wow! So good. Great source and flavor pairings of the grave, pork and cheese curds.
As most poutines are, it was filling and felt a bit heavy for a while afterward.
But for me, the show stopper was the roasted potatoes my aunt ordered (I should have listened!). What a perfect combination of outer crunch and perfectly cooked inside!
So the draw to return is definitely those potatoes (second pic). Definite recommend!
